UNDERRATED BAND OF THE MONTH/APRIL: Voxtrot

Once a month prepare to get a dose of melodies that will give you duckling bumps as well as titillate and massage your auditory system. This month, while almost over, is dedicated to Voxtrot. Which may or may not be the MOST underrated band ever (according to me that is; you are entitled to your opinion obviously, even if it's wrong). They were formed by Ramesh Srivastava in Austin, TX during the early 2000's and they ended their celestial music making squad in June of 2010. They only released one full album and three EPs. EP, if you didn't know, means Extended Play: a recording of more than one single but not as long as an album. I discovered them four months after their break-up, and unless they have a reunion tour or just come to realize the awesome power they held when united in song, I won't be able to see them in concert. Yet we can still rejoice in what they have left us. So let your ears feast(?) on the sound that is . . . . . . . .. VOXTROT. The songs that follow are two of my favorites, the first being my favorite song ever . . . . .period WARNING: THERE IS NO TURNING BACK. YOU MAY LOSE CONTROL OF YOUR EARS AND HANDS. THE SONGS OF THE A FORE MENTIONED BAND MAY, UNWILLINGLY, BE SET ON REPEAT FOR AN UNDETERMINED AMOUNT OF TIME. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

THE FIRST ONE

Hello my name is Mr. Tremble. And I am the writer and publisher of this blog. Before we begin our journey there are couple things you must know about me which may or may not be true. I'm 21 years old. I'm not a woman or a hermaphrodite. I've never physically killed anybody. I think ice cream is good. I love cartoons from the 80's and 90's. Argyle patterns soothe the left hemisphere of my brain. I'm a nerd of sorts and original ideas are like a drug to me.

So now I guess I should write my opinion or tell a story or something. Well, I just started watching X-Files Season 1. Best to start at the beginning I always say. It's becoming a new favourite of mine. Right up my alley with the aliens, mutants, urban legends, and David Duchovnys. If you don't know anything about it I'll give you the skinny.

There are two FBI agents named (Fox) Mulder and (Dana) Scully and they are trying to solve the X-Files, which are cases that are unsolved and leaning on the creepy/paranormal. Scully is this uptight red-head who is trying to see the logical side of everything. And she's like, "Oh, Mulder you don't REALLY believe in aliens do you?" And Mulder is all like, "Hells yes I do." And Mulder is the man. First off his first name is Fox. Secondly he went to school at Oxford. Thirdly he's sarcastic. And fourthly he carries a gun. Scullly does too but she doesn't pull it off as well.

Sorry, I don't have any more to say. I'm only on Episode Four.
